Volunteer and Professional Opportunities

Director, Membership, Stakeholder and Capacity Development

The Council is seeking applicants for a new, paid position, Director, Membership, Stakeholder and Capacity Development.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the person in this position will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach initiatives intended to grow the number of fee-paying Council member-volunteers, expand purchases and subscriptions to Council information products and services and support the Council’s public positioning and external relations activities, particularly those intended to generate interest in its publications and participatory opportunities.

This is a new, critical leadership position within Consumers Council of Canada, with the potential for professional advancement.

Identify Your Interest

Occasional Freelance Writers, Illustrators

The Council is seeking to identify persons interested in occasional paid, freelance writing and illustration work on consumer protection and empowerment issues, related law and regulatory policy, and work-related subjects of interest to consumer protection professionals.

The Council publishes a free Apple News Channel, newsblog and Think Consumers e-periodical.
